Primary position expectations include the ability to:
- Work collaboratively with engineering staff to solve practical geomechanics problems with a focus on Open Pit Mining.
- Perform numerical modeling, analyze results, and communicate results to clients.
- Continuous development of consulting business from existing and new clients.
- Proposal preparation and project work, with the majority of time dedicated to billable work.
- Ability to mentor team members.
- Be self-directed, managing and completing projects on time and on budget.
- Travel as required to visit client sites and attend conferences, up to 20% of the time.
Minimum Requirements:
- Master's degree in Geotechnical, Geomechanics, Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geophysics, or a related field.
- Proficiency with numerical modeling, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience.
- Eight (8) years of relevant post-graduate experience as a Geotechnical Engineer, Mining Engineer, Civil Engineer, Rock Mechanics Engineer, Geomechanics Engineer, or related position.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Field experience and familiarity with Itasca software preferred.
